I noticed this issue a few days before when one of my clients enquired about this issue. When I checked the site I saw double quotes in one of the post titles. I knew that it was the problem. So I thought it would be better to write about this issue and the possible workarounds for this issue.

Work Arounds to add special characters in post titles

The only solution that I have discovered is to add the HTML entity code of the special character instead of the special character itself. You can look up these entity codes on several websites. However there are some tools that allows you to easily encode characters to HTML.

  1. Go to HTML entity encoder/decoder tool.convert string containing special characters to corresponding HTML entities
  2. Enter the post title containing the special character into the text field in decoded region.
  3. Copy the string into the encoded region and paste it in the blog post title.
  4. Publish the post and see the magic for yourself.
